Frankfurt Guide
Frankfurt is a thoroughly modern city, boasting one of the most impressive skylines in Germany, as well as the tallest building in Europe. Since most of its original buildings were destroyed in World War Two, it has been largely rebuilt with new, cutting edge buildings, and is now the commercial core of Germany. All that is left of much of its historical sights has been reduced to memorials, but don't let this get you down: the city still knows how to show visitors a thing or two, especially with its art galleries and nighttime entertainment.

Most of the city's attractions and sights are located in the city center, so finding a Frankfurt hotel that is near that area is a good idea. Hotels in Frankfurt are clean and modern, and offer their guest all the amenities. Many are located in buildings that will give you a gorgeous view, especially during the evening, of the city's spectacular skyline. And with a city that offers so much to do at night, being in the downtown core is a perfect jumping-off point.

Frankfurt is home to many restaurants serving up a wide array of foods, including traditional and regional favorites, like cheese curd with onions and apple wine, both of which are delicious treats that can only be found in the Frankfurt area.

By purchasing a Museumsurfer ticket, visitors can have the luxury of cruising through all of the cities museums at only a fraction of the regular cost. Frankfurt's museums boast extremely impressive collections, so this investment is well worth it. The Museum fur Moderne Kunst houses an amazing collection of paintings, and the Museumsufer is home to a number of great museums to browse through. The Gothic Dom is the only building in the city that completely survived the bombings during the war, and the museum inside this structure contains some real treasures.

The city is home to many theatres which offer up world class Opera, Musicals and Orchestras. If you are more the type to go dance till the sun comes up, be sure to visit some of the city's many bars and clubs before heading back to your Frankfurt hotel for some much needed sleep.
